I take it you're running on an AGA 256-colour screen?
I used to get the problem with the iffy icons regardless of whether I used
FBlit or not. It's something to do with the fact that there aren't enough
colours available!
I'm now happily running via a Mediator and Voodoo 3. Best bits of kit I've
ever bought for my Amiga.
